Mike Lowell has been the backbone of the Red Sox this year, and he's also been my estranged adoptive Red Sox father figure since Bill Mueller. I'd rather lose with Mike Lowell at the hot corner than win with A-Rod there, if you know what I mean.
Love it. And I'd also love t-shirts. I'm pretty sure my whole life would be sadder if Mike Lowell was not in it.

If the Red Sox Front Office brings A-Rod in to replace Mike next year. I really am going to have a problem with that!
A-Rod is the embodiment of everything that is wrong with baseball, the contracts that are given out, and his bush-league style of play is something we do not need here in Boston.
I don't think he will be welcomed here and I have to say I like him much better as a foe. He's better off with the Evil Empire no matter how good he is or how much better the Yankees are with him. It makes everything we get against them just that much sweeter!
Mike Lowell needs to retire as a Red Sox player! and there's no doubt about that!

I love Lowell, and have since they signed him. However, I am starting to re-think my love. If he loves Boston so and doesn't want to leave, then why doesn't he just sign. 36 Million is a lot of money. If he is so certain he will be as good four seasons from now as he is now, it won't be a problem at the end of season 3. Perhaps he will even end up getting more money out of it. It just sickens me a little to think about the amount of money we are talking about here. Don't be so money hungry lowell.
