nancy-blog?

See, this is why we've been telling you all season that Nancy "Make that Sixty-Nine RBIs" Drew is our favorite player.

Also, what have you heard about this Gagne kid?

Gagne = SAVE? Francona just gave Boston sports radio a thought to ponder on Monday. Everyone said that we wouldn't see him for the rest of this series or could be left off the WS roster should the Sox advance? After tomorrow night, I guess that we'll see what happens.

We were just beating up on Nancy at our house the other day and my wife asked "why doesn't Tito bench his ass???" and I had to tell her that just like our former 2B Bellhorn just as soon as you give up all hope on the human fan, and Mr. HIDP they come up with a timely homerun or as they now both have done when it matters a HUGE Grand Slam... Damn I love this team... And I heard on WRKO Joe say something about Beckett says he's good to go if needed for Sunday so it is on like Donkey Kong...

It was like the Drew/Gagne redemption tour or something. Very twilight zone. Loved the final score though. I have my fingers and toes crossed for tonight!

I screamed like a little girl who had just had her lunch money stolen when drew hit the grand slam. I screamed again, at a high pitch, when I saw gagne coming in. Me to my friend: "Tony, are my eyes lying? Is that ERIC GAGNE? Ten runs aren't enough". Tony: "I thought they took him off the playoff roster".
I love your blog, ps. I am a west coast resident, former resident of Boston, and lifetime sox fan from my days growing up in Little Rhody, and sponsor of my own playoff "Ode to Mike Lowell" challenge, (prize = one sam adams seasonal brew, a pricey item in san diego). My brother won, by the way, when he rhymed "red sox nation" with Lowell's "professional rations". Iam so freaking happy about this game I had to post a comment.

Confession: Yes, while driving frantically towards my house (why don't high schools reschedule games when they conflict with ALCS games?) and I heard that J.D. Drew was up with the bases loaded and two outs, I did, yes, I admit it, I said "c'mon, Nancy". Yeah, and then I said some other less flattering things.

And then when the Cleveland announcer (and why can't I get a decent Red Sox radio station out here in the hinterlands of Central Mass.?... but that's a separate rant) said, pretty quietly, 'It's a straight shot towards center field', and I realized from the roars of the crowd that it was a grand slam home run, I cried "NANCY! NANCY! NANCY!"

And when Gagne got called in from the pen in the 9th I jumped off the couch and began pacing, yelling at my girlfriend: "Is a 10 run lead enough to bring in the Human Flame Thrower? I DON'T THINK SO!"

But that was fine, too. Game 7, bring it on.

I still can't believe it. I've been a firm Drew-believer and Gagne-hater since the day each signed with the Sox. This is unfreakinbelievable.

Also in other good news: http://www.projo.com/redsox/content/projo_20071021_04hero.18f0daab0.html

El Bencho, the Sox Clown, the mojo-magic Kevin Millar pitching the first pitch. Glorious...

8:57 p.m., Sunday, October 21, 2007: Josh Fucking Beckett reports to the bullpen.

Dice-K's breaking stuff is tremendous right now though, so I'm hoping we go straight from him to Papelboner.

Also...did I mention that I love Jacoby. Cause I do.
